Jason is our Head of Hosting Services and works within Telstra’s Product Management area. He joined Telstra in February 2008, manages a team of two Product Managers and is based in London. His key responsibility is to develop new products and improve existing ones, based on the requirements of a range of stakeholders.
Though nominally based at our Tabernacle Street offices, Jason’s role takes him out and about on a regular basis. He needs to understand the current and future product requirements of our customers, partners and sales team…so he is constantly on the go: meeting people, gathering feedback and listening to ideas. He maintains close contact with our internal Product Development and Technical teams – plus he attends exhibitions and has meetings with vendors to understand the solutions they offer. Jason gives product demonstrations to potential and existing customers, explaining our hosting services to them and how they fit with Telstra’s overall strategy. And by sharing his Product Roadmap with customers, Jason can demonstrate how our future product developments will support the customer’s own IT strategy.
Jason says the best things about his job are the calibre of the people he works with, the opportunity to take responsibility and see something through to conclusion and the challenges of working for a telco.
